Fifty-nine years old, between unemployment and early retirement, Gérard is at the end of his tether when he is offered an unexpected job in Indonesia! To give himself the best chance of snatching this last-chance job, Gérard invites the HR director to dinner at his house. His wife Colette, distraught at the thought of not being up to the job, begs Alexandre, their neighbour, for help. A communications guru, Alexandre agrees to coach the couple. Flat, décor, lifestyle, menu, table settings, dress code, general knowledge... Everything is covered, until - with their nerves on edge and at the height of their anxiety - the couple open their door to... the Guest.
