EuroJeunes: an evening dedicated to the memory of the Resistance and the Deportation, to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the camps.
As part of its efforts to raise awareness of citizenship and remembrance, the EuroJeunes association, which brings together the twinning committees of Blanzy, Montceau-les-Mines, Sanvignes and Saint-Vallier, organises an event every year in conjunction with the Joli Mois de l'Europe.

For this 2025 edition, the association, chaired by Yvan Douhard, has chosen to focus on a major theme: the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi camps in 1945, through a reflection on the Resistance and the Deportation.
This exceptional evening will feature a number of highlights.
- Screening of extracts from the film Au plus profond de la nuit, in which 3 S&L survivors - Alexandre Lapraye from Paray-le-Monial, René Santot and Jean Boudias from Chalons-sur-Saône - recount their Resistance itinerary and their inexorable plunge into the hell of deportation.
- Françoise Elloy, Honorary President of EuroJeunes and daughter of members of the Resistance, and Françoise Ginier, daughter of Roger Poulet, a member of the Resistance who was deported to the Dachau camp, Kommando de Allach, will also speak.
- Discussion with the audience.
Françoise Ginier, Côte-d'Or representative of the Amicale nationale de Dachau, will share a moving account of her father's life and the work of remembrance surrounding the concentration camps.
An exhibition on Dachau by Françoise Ginier, retracing the history of the camp and the journeys of the deportees, will be on display in the Auditorium hall from 6pm.
The evening is also a continuation of the memorial trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau (Poland) by 30 students from the Parriat and Haigneré secondary schools, from 25 to 29 April 2025. This project was led by the town of Montceau-les-Mines, in partnership with the twin town of Zory and all the twinning committees.
A glass of friendship, offered by the municipality, will close this meeting.
