Every summer, the town of Le Creusot comes alive with a free festival offering a wide range of entertainment.

The fine weather and summer vacations are the perfect time to take time out: soak up the sun, spend an evening on the terrace with friends, or simply do the things you don’t have time to do the rest of the year. It’s also an opportunity to discover other things, to open yourself up to culture.

Les Rugissantes,

street arts festival

Les Rugissantes is a festival dedicated to the street arts. In mid-July, the Château de la Verrerie and its surroundings are in artistic turmoil, with around 30 performances and 15 companies.

High-quality shows, entirely free of charge: dance, circus, theater, slam….

The highlight in 2023 will be the Homme debout project, featuring Plume, a giant puppet built as part of a participatory project.

Les Folles Escales,

musical journey

At the end of August, Les Folles Escales brings the summer to a close: a festival of festive music and dancing!

Les Folles Escales sounds like an invitation to travel.

A journey to close the summer and the Beaux Bagages season.

A journey without leaving the esplanade Duchêne.

Well, without moving… The energy, groove, rhythm and melodies of the artists draw the audience under the big top erected for the occasion.

After the Les Rugissantes festival, the Beaux Bagages summer season continues in various districts of Le Creusot with the Escales Vagabondes.

Two events are offered each week: one devoted to street arts, with clownish family shows (Tuesdays at 6.30pm), the other with an open-air cinema screening (every Thursday from dusk).
